SAF is rarely where the buyer is
SAF production is concentrated in a handful of regions. An airline that wants to decarbonise from an airport with no SAF supply faces a wall: physically trucking fuel across the world would emit more than it saves.
Book-and-claim dissolves that wall. It separates the SAF's environmental attribute from the physical molecule, so the climate benefit can be sold to a buyer who never touches the fuel.
